The 27th Annual Malibu Film Festival returns Sunday, November 15, 2026, bringing a full day of independent cinema, filmmaker conversations, and celebration to the Writers Guild Theater, located at 135 S. Doheny Drive in Beverly Hills, California.
This year's festival will showcase an exciting lineup of independent short films and feature-length productions, including world premiere presentations: the narrative feature RAZOR BOY and the Mikki Willis documentary feature BAD MEDICINE.
Throughout the day, audiences will experience three curated short film blocks, each followed by Q&A sessions with participating filmmakers and cast members. The afternoon will feature the World Premiere of RAZOR BOY, followed by the World Premiere of BAD MEDICINE, with special guests joining the post-screening conversations.
The festival will conclude with its annual Awards Ceremony, honoring outstanding achievements in independent film, followed by a catered reception bringing together filmmakers, cast members, industry professionals, and festival guests.

A recently widowed father with a hidden violent past, transforms back into the man he promised his wife he’d never be again when a gang of desert drug dealers kill his teenage son. The 27th Annual Malibu Film Festival presents the World Premiere of RAZOR BOY, written, directed by and starring Ash Adams. The film also stars Robert Rusler and features a standout debut performance by Johnny Rusler.
